Welcome to  Rice, Minnesota,
"City On the Grow"!
"Rice - a past with pride and a future with promise" has everything that
businesses, industry and residents desire for prosperity and growth.

The Mississippi River is located west of Rice, and Little Rock Lake is located to the east which helps to make Rice a wonderful place to live and do business.

The population of Rice has grown steadily over the years to 711 at the 2000 census.  Located within Minnesota's Growth Corridor, the population of Rice will continue to grow as businesses expand and individuals working in the fast lane recognize the value of "country living."

As a "Minnesota Star City" Rice has planned for growth and is prepared to support and assist existing and prospective new businesses. The Rice Economic Development Coordinator, a responsive city government and the Rice Loan and Economic Development Committee join forces to help new businesses get started
in Rice.

On this website you will find updated information on our city government and other things of interest regarding our continually growing city.  Please come back often to our site as we continue to make improvements and updates to it.
